Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Application Manager leads all aspects of lifecycle management, strategic alignment, and delivery of IT applications within HR, Legal, Communications & PMO, ensuring they align with Novelis’ Vision 3x30, adhere to enterprise architecture standards, and deliver business value. They collaborate with partners to ensure effective solution design, implementation, and support. Additionally, as an Architect define and evolve enterprise-wide technology standards and solution designs, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, enterprise strategy, and business goals. They work closely with Application Managers, Enterprise Architecture, and partners to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

Application Lifecycle Management

  • Be responsible for the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned applications.
  • Ensure applications are maintained, upgraded, and retired in alignment with business needs and technology standards.
  • Maintain design documentation and ensure consistency to enterprise architecture.

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Define and maintain solution architecture standards and design documents.
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Application Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to support business needs.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency and scalability of solutions.
  • Participate in demand management and feasibility assessments (D1–D4 stage gates).
  • Support the PMO and Portfolio Managers in project planning and prioritization.
  • Support the creation of RFAs and ensure accurate representation in Accolade.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and regulatory standards.

Delivery & Support

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support Application Managers in running technical backlogs and solution delivery.
  • Contribute to vendor evaluations and solution assessments.
  • Participate in benefits realization and post-implementation reviews.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Run the technical backlog and lead all aspects of solution delivery.
  • Support project delivery by collaborating with project managers and technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or solution design roles.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud platforms, and integration technologies.
  • Experience with project management tools and platforms (e.g., Accolade, ServiceNow).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), application lifecycle management, and IT governance.
  • Superb communication, analytical, and customer engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOGAF and Cloud certifications.
  • Experience with UNIX/Windows Azure platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SSO, Cyber Security and IAM.
  • Experience with API integrations and Middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Tibco)
