The Berea Plant Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for metal planning, inventory control, and coordination of all Logistics and traffic functions that allows the Berea plant to manage costs and achieve production forecasts. Specifically, this position will ensure seamless integration of plant needs and input availability by working with the Scrap Champion, Corp. Supply Chain Coordinators, Corp. Metal Buyers and the Senior Supply Chain Specialist with the request of, scheduling of, Receiving and consumption of front end and furnace inputs from metal inventory and planned metal inputs.

• The Supply Chain Coordinator will help develop and communicate the daily shift targets.
• Will work directly with the Senior Supply Chain Specialist to manage incoming inventory and the storage of metal inputs needed to meet Novelis Berea’s production forecasts while continually coordinating with the Novelis corporate planning group(s).
• Assist in entering annual/monthly/daily metal planning forecasts and changes in SAP and communicate with all effected parties (Corp personnel and Berea personnel).
• Conduct Monthly/Annual metal inventory counts and reconcile.
• Coordinate any quality initiatives, metal supply trials, including supplier visits.
• This role actively manages and understands the availability of inputs, develops, and collaborates with Operation personnel to drive and execute the most optimal charge plan based on current inputs and operational performance.
• Learn the necessary reports and basic responsibilities of the Senior Supply Chain Specialist in order to fill in when the specialist is absent.
• Learn the necessary reports and basic responsibilities of the PPQ Specialist in order to fill in in their absence.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or qualifying experience within a manufacturing environment.

-At least 3-5 years of related experience.

-Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with internal and external customers

-Self-motivated and can work without direct supervision

-Knowledge of aluminum scrap, manufacturing, and recycle process 

-Superior understanding of Supply Chain and Metal Inputs

-Analytical and pc skills, including advanced ability in Excel and SAP

-Excellent organizational and communication skills

-Ability to perform work accurately and independently
