Additionally, this role will support the APM Lead in developing and setting standards, governance, and processes for the APM Analytical workflows. The role requires 20-25% travel within the US and sometimes internationally.

APM is a branch of analytics that focuses on analyzing sensor data with the power of machine learning and big data technologies. The goal of the analytics is to avoid asset failure and high reactive maintenance costs by predicting the breakdown of the assets. The output from the analytics is monitoring and alerting systems that provide information on the asset life, degradation in the operating condition of the asset, and predicting the failure of the equipment on the asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with vendors to implement the APM solution and then own the maintenance of the solution for various plants/sites.
  • Work with plant engineers located globally to solve business challenges related to forecasting the breakdown of the machines using sensor data analysis techniques such as Vibration Analysis, Motor Circuit Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Infrared Thermography.
  • Develop internal APM products using the latest anomaly detection machine-learning algorithms for predicting machine failures.
  • Communicate results of the model to non-technical resources through various means including designing and building intuitive UI and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Regularly test and maintain analytical models to improve efficiency and keep up with changing business needs, ensuring timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time.
  • Adhere and improve standards for performing APM projects.
  • Support the building of accelerators for various APM solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing anomaly detection models for time-series data applying the latest unsupervised models such as GANs and VAEs.
  • Strong knowledge of the sensor data especially vibration, temperature, pressure, etc.
  • Strong ability to combine large volumes of disparate data sources and mine them for meaningful insight and to present the analysis findings to business partners.
  • Strong hands-on experience in various analytic tools such as Databricks, Python, Power BI, Excel, and SQL
  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, robotics, or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Predictive Maintenance technologies in manufacturing, specifically metals manufacturing
  • Experience in building frontend solutions using ReactJS or NextJS
