Summary Statement:
The incumbent is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of a wide range of electromechanical equipment. Also, from time to time, the incumbent will be involved in project work related to productivity improvement and equipment reliability.
The maintenance system requires that the incumbent be able to communicate well verbally and in writing be able to read and understand the technical literature associated with the assigned equipment. The incumbent is also expected to take a proactive stance on all safety matters, whether of a personal or third party
The incumbent should be able to work with a minimum of supervision. They should be able to organize and supervise less skilled crafts person on specific jobs and should be able to train less skilled crafts persons. Due to the open shop concept of the Berea Plant, it is also expected that all tradesmen work outside their trade as the need and their abilities permit.

The incumbent must have a high school diploma and journeyman, vocational or Apprentice qualifications with a minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience.
