The Novelis Operational Excellence team is seeking a regional Operational Excellence Leader. The person in this role will report to the Director of Operational Performance Improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible assist the Novelis plants operational excellence teams to develop performance improvement plans while aligning targets with business commercial and supply chain requirements. This position will act as expert of NOS (Novelis Operating System) and implement management tools across several manufacturing processes to drive productivity and cost improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the improvement of continuous improvement activities, conducting annual improvement planning cycle (IPC). Carries out performance governance for capacity improvement projects meeting and reviews.
• Suport performance improvement director to elaborate operations strategic, ensuring alignment on targets in Operations accordingly to Supply Chain and Commercial needs.
• Develop, along with plant team, capacity improvement plans aligned targets for critical assets.
• Lead the development/improvement of continuous improvement methodologies
• Use data to identify and address organizational performance gaps
• Review the complete cycle time of a given product to be able to identify areas where improvements can be made and where waste can be reduced.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institutions
• Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
• At least 5 years of experience in Lean and Operational Excellence
• Experience establishing and leading Project Management office
• Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross functional teams without direct line of authority

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA – Master of Business Administration
• Experience leading operational transformation programs
• Certification in Data Science with advanced excel skills and basic Python
