Position Overview

The Novelis Bay Minette, AL team is looking for EHS Coordinators. The selected candidates will provide support the environmental, health, and safety programs of manufacturing areas and central services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role works closely with employees, management, and external agencies to minimize risks and enhance workplace safety. Additionally, this role will help maintain safety records, track compliance activities, coordinate training sessions, and assist with reporting and documentation to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize EHS records and documentation including preparing reports, tracking key safety and environmental data, and coordinating meetings, safety committees, and training sessions.
• Support and continuously update EHS policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Assist in incident reporting and follow-up documentation
• Conduct basic safety inspections, support waste disposal tracking and basic environmental compliance tasks.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Machine Guarding, and PPE compliance program, and coordinate employee safety training and toolbox talks, ensuring all personnel understand workplace safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2-4 years experience in an industrial/heavy manufacturing environment
• Experience in EHS, compliance or manufacturing support
• Familiarity with OSHA, First Aid, and other industrial regulations.

Novelis' newly announced Bay Minette facility will be located 35 miles northeast of Mobile AL and 45 miles west of Pensacola FL and is expected to create approximately 1000 high-paying advanced careers in modern manufacturing.
