Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Overview:

The Novelis Global Talent Management team located in Atlanta, GA, is looking for an Organizational Effectiveness Specialist. The role reports to the Manager, Organizational Effectiveness and is responsible for leading and running a year-round global technical talent program that identifies, recognizes, and develops top-tier technical talent across the organization. This role requires strategic oversight and execution of initiatives that enhance the development and engagement of engineers, scientists, and technologists in alignment with Novelis’ vision and strategic HR objectives and a focus on enhancing the employee experience through talent management and recognition initiatives. It is also responsible for stakeholder management with program sponsors in various parts of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of the global talent program, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. This includes overseeing nomination processes, coordinating judging panels, and managing recognition events.
  • In partnership with the Learning Team, design and implement initiatives to assess, develop, and recognize high-potential technical talent, including mentoring programs, leadership development opportunities, and career pathing.
  • Analyze program data to evaluate the effectiveness of talent initiatives, generate insights, and present findings to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Provide support for other talent and recognition initiatives, including the Pulse survey and adjacent awards programs and other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct retrospective reviews and facilitate strategic planning sessions with key partners to identify areas for improvement and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Continuously assess and refine program processes, using feedback and data to enhance the program’s impact and efficiency.
  • Provide input on Technical Talent Management process design: Constantly enhance global talent management processes in response to changing business needs and priorities as well as external benchmarking of new industry developments
  • Support Technical Talent pipeline building, including career path tools to enable leaders in their talent development efforts with employees and employee ownership of their career growth
  • Support the documentation, organization and design of Technical Talent Programs & Frameworks
  • Create COE (center of excellence) collateral around talent management initiatives to enable change management and training of HR business partners and regional talent managers supporting initiatives execution
  • Provide direct support to Regional HR partners on technical talent management process, analytics and other local needs as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, HR, Industrial & Org Psychology or related field
  • 1-2 years experience in Talent Management or Organizational Effectiveness preferred
  • Strong analytical skills - proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint required
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle and deliver projects while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to handle complexity, prioritize work and deliver on time to meet internal customers’ expectations
  • Ability to adapt responses and projects to changing situations
  • Understanding of Talent Management processes and fundamental principles
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relate across all levels in the organization
  • Ability to work with a team to seamlessly collaborate with cross-regional Organizational Effectiveness team and internal partners
  • Motivated to learn and broaden experiences through handling a variety of initiatives within the talent management functional areas
