Position Overview

The Novelis North America (NNA) Specialties Commercial team is seeking a Senior Account Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for effectively managing and servicing an account load of high complexity. The candidate will consistently and efficiently, enter accurate orders relative to customers’ instructions and corporate/SOX guidelines and manage contractual agreements and monthly allocations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership by working independently with minimal supervision and effectively making sound decisions within the approved guidelines of the specialty light gauge organization.
• Communicates order status and information within the work processes as needed to ensure customer service expectations, both specified and non-specified, are met or exceeded. Advises account managers and customers with respect to issues, i.e. advising of delays, pricing, forecast updates, and product availability.
• Use leadership skills to support the AMS Manager and AMS team.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive product and technical knowledge base to effectively support all markets.
• Expected to have enough business and customer knowledge that they can use all systems for their respective customer base and plants.
• Serve as the team “go to” Subject Matter Expert on Novelis, systems, processes, and customers
• Provide training, support, and mentoring to new team members.
• Participates and or leads continuous improvement projects as assigned, representing customer service, supply chain, master data, scheduling, and revenue concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 years minimum of Novelis account management experience.
• Understand Novelis business processes, systems, and manufacturing process
• Knows internal key contacts and has a good rapport with internal and external partners
• Demonstrated ability to effectively handle stressful or conflict situations/interactions with internal and external customers
• Ability to manage time with minimal supervision and to handle multiple projects.
