Novelis in Oswego, NY has an opportunity to participate in our summer 2025 internship. The team is seeking an Operations Excellence Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will report to the Operations Excellence Lead. This position is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about continuous process improvement, data analytics, Power BI, and project management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating with Operations Excellence and Operations to develop and refine KPIs, track data and provide the team with visual management tools to track process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the company's goals.
• Support the operations team in managing and analyzing operational data using Power BI.
• Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Assist in identifying operational best practices and performance improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Prepare and present reports on operational performance and project progress

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Studying undergrad or graduate in Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data analytics and Power BI.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
