Position Overview

In this key role, it will manage and drive direct sales engagements into a set of named accounts and strategic partners. Its focus will be to create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments of Novelis products. Develop executive relationships with key accounts and leverage these during the sales process. Coordinate with appropriate internal groups to generate and deliver winning contract bids. Negotiate terms of business with clients to achieve win/win results that provide the basis for strong ongoing relationships.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

[Responsibilities]:

Business development

  • Identify and develop new opportunities with comprehensive account planning
  • Identify potential customer interests and connect related internal functions to for opportunity
  • Win new deals developed from opportunities identified with communication and negotiation

Deal closing

  • Lead the bidding process and clarify with customers

Relationship management

  • Understand customer’s strategy, business model, their value-add and development
  • Create solutions and aligned value-add for customer
  • Identify key decision makers and build knowledge and relationships with them
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with customer stakeholders for long-term development
  • Arrange executive visits for high level engagement

Internal coordination and planning

  • Collaborate with other internal functions for global account mgmt., account planning and technical issues
  • Solve ad-hoc customer issues with other internal functions

Risk Management

  • Work with Finance team to define credit limit of customers and prevent the financial loss
  • Follow the auto market closely and understand in general the impact of market situation on customer business to take proactive actions to manage the risks associated

[Qualifications]:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA degree preferred)

Experience

  • 8+ years account management experience with auto tier 1 suppliers

Functional Competencies

  • Deep understanding on the auto market, purchasing behaviors of customers, OEM's business and competitor movements. Proactive in monitoring leading auto market indicators for both short-term and long-term with insights
  • Expertise in guiding and managing client needs and adjusting demand forecast
  • Open-mind with global mindset
  • Able to speak and communicate in English fluently
  • Skills in using CRM system to support sales activitiest
  • Monitor and report the move of key competitors
