Position Overview

The Finance & Accounting team located at the Oswego, NY facility is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst. This role will report to the Controller for the Oswego plant and have two direct reports. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing several plant-based finance functions relating to operating expenses, as well as bridging individual manufacturing units reporting and plant-level reporting. This candidate will work cross-functionally with both plant-based teams and corporate FP&A.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of financial analyst team, who are Finance Business Partners for the manufacturing units across the plant. This includes training, performance management and growth & development.
  • Performing month-end activities such as completing & uploading journal entries and forecasts in SAP, exporting data from multiple sources to review & analyze actual results against plan and forecast. Non-inventory account reconciliations in OneStream.
  • Complete all plant-level budgets & analysis related to hourly wage forecasts, energy, headcount, and overtime.
  • Consolidating and summarizing the manufacturing unit data into plant-level reporting for the Controller and leadership team.
  • Upload plant OpEx forecasts & plan to SAP and regional SharePoint.
  • Work closely with HR to report actual & forecasted headcount.
  • Acting as Financial Business Partner for the Central Maintenance and Admin & Support functions. This includes:
    • Supporting in all matters related to OpEx
    • Build analytical models utilizing both financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results. Clearly articulate these results back to management in order to make better business decisions.
    • Support World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities by participating in cross-functional business projects and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the operational cost drivers to better support project initiatives.
    • Provide training & regular support to their departments regarding matters such as purchase requisitions, RFA submissions, invoice resolutions, valuations, and budgets.
  • Periodically attend department meetings with analyst team to stay up-to-date on manufacturing activities and provide support to the teams.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics are required, and financial modeling experience.
  • Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel.
  • Willingness to take on additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Manufacturing experience.

This role’s salary starts from $76,600 per year. Individual pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and performance. In addition to base salary, this position includes participation in a short-term incentive plan (Annual Incentive Plan - AIP or Plant Performance incentive - PPI).
