Responsibilities & Qualifications

What awaits you:

The Novelis strategy is to grow Beverage Packaging volumes in Europe. The UK is the largest can market and the volume growth is requiring a high effort on customer interaction for technical discussion. It is essential for Novelis to continually work towards being the preferred supplier. The job holder therefore has to maintain a strong presence on the customers’ sites and provide excellent levels of mainly technical and sometimes commercial service. 

 
These skills can only be provided by an expert in Aluminium and can-manufacturing with a high level of mobility. 

How you convince us:

• Demonstrable experience in the management of the quality procedure, which including providing analysis and reporting back to the customer.
• Monitoring the performance of the product (coils) through the sampling procedure and ensuring data is correct and shared accordingly
• Proven experience of being a figure head for Novelis that can professionally represent the company, but also provide support in terms of technical issues. Ability to provide reports to both customer and Novelis folliwng site visits.
• Communication skills are essential for this role in terms of technical knowedge and liasing with different stakeholders
• Data collection; analysis and providing reports are key and the ability to demonstrate experience in these areas are essential.
• The ability to recognise where we need to envoke additional Novelis departments as and when required.
• The commitment to be able to travel is essential both in the UK and internationally.

The Novelis Latchford plant a suburb of Warrington Cheshire in England employs approximately 200 employees. It is one of Europe’s largest aluminium used beverage cans recycling plants and Europe’s largest closed-loop recycling operation for automotive aluminium rolled products with an annual recycling capacity of up to 195000 tonnes. The plant is an essential part of Novelis’ European production and collaborated with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to create the first closed-loop system in Europe with a dedicated railway service to efficiently deliver aluminium between Novelis and JLR’s production site in the UK. The Latchford plant is committed to its community in supporting math and science education to local schools as well as sharing the value of safety and works with a local charitable foundation to sponsoring health. In addition Novelis UK supports the program “Every Can Counts” to actively promote can recycling across Europe.
