Position Overview

The Information Technology team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Sr Lead IT Applications! This full-time position will report to Director IT, Global BRM Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The incumbent will lead the research of new strategic capabilities to enhance our manufacturing processes and influence, grow and scale our Strategic Manufacturing and Supply Chain Digital Transformation roadmap. It will collaborate with business teams to define requirements for implementing new IT solutions and capabilities. Analyze business processes and requirements to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and control. Provide business acumen and technology advisory while prioritizing and creating detailed capabilities narratives for new technologies. Assist in managing and delivering large projects by providing IT expertise around manufacturing applications. Ensure successful implementation of new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a focus on Internal IT and business partners including Global Manufacturing business function leaders, establishing strategic roadmaps, providing support and analysis where necessary and ensuring alignment between IT and the Business and ensuring high quality standards, adherence to PMO and well architected frameworks, value and ROI Delivery, maturity and readiness among other elements to ensure project success despite the pressure to deliver from internal customers and Sr. Leaders.
  • Identify and explore opportunities to realize value through technology. Help build and communicate short-, medium- and long-term strategies in the context of Industry 4.0 in the global manufacturing environment and ensure that business needs and requirements and understood so that alignment with other IT functions occurs.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for manufacturing specific applications will be essential for this individual as they will be leveraged to ensure the systems are running and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Responsible for the analysis, requirements gathering, and testing during the IT system enhancement process.
  • Act as the eyes and ears to help troubleshoot when issues occur.
  • Serve as an escalation point of contact and collaborate with application support teams for support/incident management process (issue identification, root cause analysis, issue resolution, testing and change management) as required.
  • Ensure that all standards are followed and when plant expansions, additions or any changes occur in the factory, that our standards are followed and maintain system documentation.
  • Responsible for gathering, documenting, and obtaining sign-off of process information and documenting manufacturing business and functional requirements aligned with our IT standards. Contributes to and reviews requirements and process related documentation.
  • Facilitate, manage the business case engagement to determine the investment case and plan for accomplishing the project.
  • Execute tasks of medium to prominent levels of complexity during all phases of implementation projects including business analysis, training, testing, and support. Understand and adhere to IT implementation methodologies and practices (Project Management Methodology, systems development methodology and Project Management Office)

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline/equivalent)
  • 7-10+ years of experience Innovation and strategic IT projects from an end-to-end perspective (ideation to implementation).  
  • 7+ years IT manufacturing experience, hands on experience in configuring, developing, and managing manufacturing IT systems.  
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports. 
  • Leadership experience in digital strategy deployment and use of emerging technologies in world class manufacturing facilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and apply information-driven approaches to solve critical business challenges to realize business value. 
  • Strategic thinker balancing innovation, continuous improvement, thought leadership best practices with the ability to execute and realize business
  • Ability to flawlessly collaborate with multiple stakeholders to lead multiple strategic initiatives under time and resource constraints, as well as the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Ability to operate and communicate at the strategic level yet focus on details to drive successful execution and deliver value. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across the operations ecosystem within a complex, global matrixed organization and make decisions based on key business priorities. 
  • Ability to decompose problems/opportunities and make decisions when problems or solutions are not clearly defined. 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a technical and business capacity. 
  • Proven success delivering projects in Agile, Waterfall or SDLC environments. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing stack systems (reference architecture for L0-L5 systems)  
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple global, large-scale, high-risk projects across a portfolio. 
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to communicate effectively with the business to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions as required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Executive leadership and stakeholder communication.  
  • Understanding of various technologies including applications and databases. 
  • Proven ability to build/influence teams, mentor, and coach while proactively recognize and remove obstacles on behalf of the team.
