You will learn to:

Responsibilities:

• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software, and apply functional operation knowledge for electronic units and systems.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment.
• Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation, or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment in order to detect and prevent problems.
• Examine work orders and communicate with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
• Consult with customers, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layout or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
• Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of “safe” working practices (ex. OSHA, Lock Out / Tag Out)
• Needs to have a detailed knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Able to read, speak, and understand English
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
• Ability to pass appitude assessment

Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size.
