Novelis – Kingston Works is situated on the traditional homeland of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Huron-Wendat peoples. We thank them for their ongoing stewardship of this land where we are fortunate to work.
We are located on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, an area famous for its historical significance and breathtaking 1000 islands views. Kingston is midway between Toronto and Montreal and home to three world class higher learning institutions and many historic sites. Here, 300 employees cold roll, finish, and anneal aluminum used in automotive and specialty products for a wide array of customers in North America. Local residents and visitors enjoy Kingston’s Downtown District, which is the gathering place for various events including the Kingston Buskers Rendezvous and the 1000 Islands Poker Run. Our employees give back to the community through United Way and the Loaned Representative Program. The site also provides grants to community organizations promoting safety recycling and STEM education through the company’s Novelis Neighbor program.
