Position Overview

The Information Technology team, located in Greensboro, Georgia is seeking a IT Systems Analyst. This person will be the first point of contact for all IT questions in the plant and work as a liaison between regional IT business analysts, IT Manager and Business Engagement Manager. Ensuring IT policies, standards and processes are properly implemented in the plant.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day support and coordination between the Business, the various IT teams (Lincolnshire, Novelis Regional and Global). The coordinator is the first point of contact for all IT activities in the plant and has complete oversight of the IT environment at the plant and all related infrastructure.
  • Lead support and growth initiatives for existing plant applications in-line with the NNA IT Business Engagement Manager, plant management and functional users.
  • Coordinate between multi-discipline IT teams in support of existing infrastructure.
  • Capture business issues and will coordinate with the different areas of the NNA and Global IT organization to develop solutions.
  • Support existing plant applications including work with regional/global systems, in line with the functional users, plant management, the NNA IT business analysts, and the NNA IT Manager and Business Engagement Manager.
  • Support existing infrastructure in line with the NNA IT Manager.
  • Provide leadership, project management and ongoing support of existing specified business systems including troubleshooting, vendor liaison, user liaison and continuous improvement and will provide leadership, project management and ongoing support of development of new or replacement business systems, initiated both within the plant and from corporate initiatives.
  • Gather plant business requirements and help transfer the requirements to the regional IT Business Analysts.
  • Help identify technologies that may benefit the operation and work with regional and global IT teams to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Facilitate the roll-out in the plant of new IT processes and standards and will facilitate the roll-out in the plant of new business applications or new infrastructure as defined by the regional or global IT teams.
  • Compile project status reports, coordinates project schedules, leads project meetings, and identifies and coordinates efforts across local IT teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Identify and analyze systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.
  • Helping to develop plant IT budget, IT dashboard and other IT reporting
  • Report IT critical metrics, spend and other IT dashboard information to IT Director.
  • Develop IT budget, update forecast and track IT spend vs. budget for the plant
  • Work with end users, providers and corporate to provide visible services from the systems being supported inclusive of innovative, flexible reporting and data handling

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Information Technology or Engineering
  • 2-5+ years if experience in IT environments
  • Goof technical skills around business applications, software, database
  • Application development knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiencies surrounding infrastructure, servers, PS, local and wide area networks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate efficiently with business users and plant management at all levels
  • Alignment to Regional and Global IT Standards
  • Attention to details, focus on delivery end to end services to final users
  • Ability to work in matric structure and collaborate with regional teams
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and manager indirect resources
  • Proven ability to analyze and address problems collaborating with the regional team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing 4.0 and leading trends preferred
  • Experience with digital analytics, data structures and Power BI reporting
  • Knowledge of digital twins used in stimulation of manufacturing processes
  • English Fluency: other languages a plus

Novelis’ Greensboro facility is located in Greensboro Georgia. With 140 employees it is the first stand-alone used beverage can recycling facility in the company now responsible for pioneering a majority of Novelis’ recycling technologies.
