The Novelis Novi Automotive Customer Solution Center team is seeking a Lead Project Engineer. The individual in this role will work with the Enabling Technologies Leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes of forming, joining and roll forming and management experience with a passion to guide and develop engineering personnel. Being process oriented with strong organizational skills is crucial for success in this role.
This position will be responsible for leading the Project Team and coordinating assets with other Enabling Technologies functions to successfully meet project results. Technical projects will focus on advancement of automotive manufacturing technologies including Novi CSC laboratory assets, 400T servo press, 52 stand roll forming line with laser and high frequency welding, laser welding cell, resistance spot welding and self-piercing rivets.
