Position Overview:

The Novelis Global E2MRA team is seeking a Global Automation Liaison Cyber Security & Asset Care. The person in this role will report to the Global Sr. Manager Automation Technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting EHS best practices for OT, leading Automation infrastructure projects impacting multiple sites, and be a technical expert on infrastructure as it relates to OT and data collection of production processes. This position will improve the data cybersecurity, coordination, and alignment of Operations to achieve a common goal for the business.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage interfaces with Novelis sites to standardize and implement Cybersecurity measures on OT systems (Levels 1 & 2) 

  • Applies expert knowledge of engineering principles, Novelis processes and Automation infrastructure to solve complex practical challenges in the manufacturing environment 

  • Maintain awareness of latest Operational Technologies, best practices, and standards relevant to Automation infrastructure asset care 

  • Enable that Patching is applied at all Novelis Facilities-OT environment and escalate when it is not possible. 

  • Develop innovative solutions to OT environment with significant influence on the global business 

  • Interact with OT suppliers, Novelis diverse cultures and differing priorities to align project work and ensure successful outcomes 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS in Engineering or four (4) years in related technical field (STEM) 

  • Knowledge of process data, how it is collected in real time and used in manufacturing operations 

  • Knowledge of ISA95, ISA88 reference models and implementation 

  • 8+ years of experience in aluminum manufacturing processes 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • 15 years of progressive experience in aluminum manufacturing processes 

  • Experience in programming of OT systems (PLC, HMI, Historians, Level 2) 

  • Significant exposure to integration of real time process control and data acquisition 

  • Knowledge of OT Cybersecurity (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISA99/IEC62443)
