The Novelis plant located in Davenport, IA has an immediate opening for a Plant Utility. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to be knowledgeable of all phases of sheet coating.
• Must be able to safely and efficiently operate mobile equipment.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Knowledgeable about plant safety rules and departmental safety practices.
• Good verbal communication skills are required.
• Must be knowledgeable, able to train for and perform at minimum, three jobs within the department.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• GED or High School Diploma

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Able to perform, at a minimum, three positions on Paint Line; after training.
• Assists Payoff operator.
• Assists rewind operator.
• Operates forklift.
• Assists in skidding of coils.
• Assists in removal of scrap.
• Grinds rolls.
• Checks chemical levels.
• Performs environmental audits.
