Novelis (formally known as Aleris) in Uhrichsville is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to install, modify, troubleshoot and repair various electrical devices to minimize plant downtime and support our 24/7 aluminum rolling mill.

Our Maintenance Electrician wage starts at $32.50per hour. Once the probationary period is completed, the wage increases to $ 33.00 per hour.  Our Skilled Based Incentive  pay model can increase your earnings even further! Employees receive overtime and double time pay for qualifying hours worked weekly. A monthly gain-share bonus can be earned based on personal and plant performance metrics. Responsibilities:

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with Novelis EHS standards,  policies, and procedures and all state/federal regulations
• Participates in the fabrication, installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical and mechanical devices, systems, and facilities of varying design or complexity, including:
• Single & 3 Phase Power Distributions
• Conduit and Plant Lighting
• Single & Polyphase AC and DC Motors
• PLCs
• Interprets blueprints, manufacturers’ specifications, written and verbal instructions
• Performs required preventative/predictive maintenance
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment to minimize unscheduled downtime
• Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintains accurate, legible and timely records by completing paperwork as required
• Displays initiative and completes tasks with a sense of urgency
• Demonstrates a positive attitude; has the ability to work in a team environment
• Maintains quality service/product by establishing, following, and enforcing organization ISO9001:2015 quality system standards
• Provides support as required by performing other duties as requested or assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years industrial electrical experience; ability to pass an electrical test
• Aptitude with industrial machinery & equipment, including troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
• Understanding of NFPA 70E and NEC
• Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime, weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations
• Previous metal rolling mill experience strongly preferred
