IT Applications Lead (m/f/d) SAP CO

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What awaits you:

 

The Novelis IT Enterprise Solutions team is seeking an IT Applications Lead SAP CO to join the Global SAP COE team in Germany (Koblenz or Götttingen). The person in this role reports to the Manager Applications, Enterprise Solutions and is responsible for providing direction and oversight to the solution design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Controlling Areas of SAP including but not limited to Cost Center Accounting, Internal Order, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Profit Center Accounting. This position also has a key role in the ongoing global deployment and effective utilization of SAP S/4 in support of Novelis’ operational excellence and sustainability goals. The tasks in detail:

 

  • Partner with business to understand requirements and priorities within the Financial Controlling workstream
  • Evaluate business requirements and translates requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Lead project activities within workstream
  • Serve as a process and configuration authority for the SAP solutions in Financial Controlling
  • Assess solution options and makes decisions about application changes, including but not limited to business-driven change requests and new project requirements
  • Govern changes between the SAP production and project environment
  • Ensure adherence to organization and project standards
  • Support effective management of external partners, including planning and review of change requests to be delivered by the offshore team within workstream

 

How you convince us:

 

  • You hold a university degree in Finance or Information Technology
  • You bring at least 6 years of experience working with SAP CO-CCA/CO-OM/CO-PCA/CO-PCC
  • You have previous experience in a Discrete Manufacturing environment; ideally in the Metals or Commodity manufacturing industry
  • You feel comfortable being viewed as a functional expert in the Finance and Controlling process areas
  • You are an expert in integrating SAP CO processes with sales, procurement, inventory management and production processes
  • You bring technical expertise with interface design and management between SAP FICO and peripheral systems, e.g., Advanced Analytics systems
  • You have experience in a global role or experience working within a highly matrixed organization
  • You have participated in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP ECC or S/4 implementation projects and filled a team lead role in at least one of these projects
  • Experience working in a Batch Management and Configurable Material environment highly desired
  • Business fluent in English and good German language skills
