Associate Logistics Lead

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Logistics Leader. The Logistics Leader is the single point of Logistics accountability for the plants, procurement, and value stream. This role is responsible for the operational and financial performance of the logistics network that includes the Plant Logistics Operations and the network of transportation and service providers. This position is also encouraged to detail and handle transportation critical metrics and support the Logistics Manager in carriers/supplier evaluation and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support pipeline of improvement projects related to logistics
• Resolve standard process and procedures for shipping and receiving operations
• Support evaluation of career performance and expectations, operational performance metrics, and carrier communication
• Establish a strong working network across the Novelis system
• Build and supervise KPI's to assess carrier performance in coordination with plants
• Communicate outsourcing needs and maintain delivery service policy
• Design network to optimize inbound and outbound metal flow
• Support growth of direct reports to support succession planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. B.S. in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, Master’s degree or MBA a plus
• Minimum three years of Logistics experience
• Proven understanding of data analysis and management preferred
• Excellent teammate with experience efficiently influencing, leading and driving collaboration across functions
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
